The Details: Boost Your Immunity
Berries of all kinds are chocked full of immune-loving antioxidants that work to scrub free radicals from our bodies. It’s these free radicals that are responsible for the oxidative stress that causes many health issues, like cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Cantaloupe contains over 100% of the RDA of Vitamin C in a single cup. Necessary for all body tissue growth and repair, ascorbic acid (Vitamin C) is key to innumerable bodily functions: collagen formation, iron absorption, wound healing, proper immune system function, and even the continuity of our bones and teeth. This powerful antioxidant is also known to help lower the risk of breast, colon, and lung cancers. It also works to improve symptoms of the common cold and eye disease.
