What’s the Skin-Loving Ingredient in Pineapple?
Have you ever heard of Bromelain? This powerful group of enzymes is the key ingredient in pineapple that is so good for your skin. What makes it so skin-tastic? Bromelain is a known anti-inflammatory that absorbs easily into the body and doesn’t seem to lose its potency after ingestion (1).

Try Drinking Vitamin C for Skin
Vitamin C is another skin-benefiting ingredient found in pineapples, as well as both strawberries and star fruit. That’s why I’ve combined them in this juice recipe to make drinking vitamin C for skin both tasty and simple.

Healthy skin has a high concentration of vitamin C, whose primary role there is to support the synthesis of collagen and boost antioxidant-based protection against UV radiation damage (2).

Vitamin C is not stored in the body (3), so ingesting it regularly is important. The results of improving skin levels of vitamin C may include countering cellulose visibility, wrinkle prevention, skin cancer risk reduction, and wound healing.
Best Juicer for Pineapples

I made Star of the Show using the Nama J2. It’s the best juicer for pineapples – you don’t even have to cut them up! Read more to find out why I love the Name J2 Juicer so much!
- Super Fast Operation
- Large Load-and-Go Produce Hopper
- Minimal Chopping
- Great Nutrient Extraction
- Very Easy to Use
- Quick Cleanup
- 15-Year Warranty
- Some Pulp Left in the Juice
- Can't Make Sorbets, Smoothies, or Nice Cream
The Nama J2 is a great juicer that’s super easy to use, provides good juice yield and nutrient extraction, and is very fast to clean. The secret to its speed is the revolutionary 5 1/4-inch hopper that allows you to fill it up and walk away while it juices! It handles whole ingredients like pineapples, beets, and lemons. Basically, anything that fits in the hopper is no match for the Nama J2!
In addition to that large hopper, there’s an auto-cutting blade that allows for very little produce prep. This combination saves you serious time by allowing you to do other things while it juices. I use this time to clean up my counter, put extra ingredients away, and get my juicing jars ready. Then once it’s done, all I have to do is clean the juicer, which is also really fast.
Nama backs up the J2 juicer with a 4-year parts/15-year motor warranty. I unquestionably recommend the Nama J2 to anyone interested in a wonderful juicing experience. It has a permanent place on my counter, and I absolutely love it!
