Our body has natural detoxification abilities; we just have to allow it to do what it does naturally! The liver is our body’s primary detoxification organ, so ensuring its proper function is one key to great health. Green juices with bitter herbs like dandelion greens contain incredible essential oils, micronutrients, and other beneficial phytonutrients to stimulate bile production and aid in the liver’s ability to detoxify. The best juice for liver detox is the one you drink, so try this recipe and give your liver some love!

The Details: Dramatic Detox
Dandelion is used as a liver tonic in traditional medicine. The greens contain polysaccharides which are known to reduce stress on the liver, support bile production, and help to filter out harmful chemicals.
Kale contains the phytochemical isothiocyanate which helps regulate the detoxification process in our cells. Sulfur found in kale also helps to support detoxification.
Celery has been found to support liver health by regulating its enzymes that flush out toxins and reduce fat build-up.
The enzyme bromelin, found in abundance in fresh pineapple, aids digestion. This helps keep the liver free from toxins produced by ineffective digestion.

The Juicer: PURE Juicer
I made Liver Lover on the PURE Juicer! It’s the best of the best in the juicer universe.
Of all the juicers that I use and recommend, the PURE has the highest juice yield (20-50% more), the best enzyme and nutrient extraction, and the smoothest pulp-free juice.
The increased yield alone ensures that the PURE pays for itself in produce cost savings over time. Made of high-grade stainless steel, it’s at the top end of construction durability.
