This fresh juice is the best morning drink for glowing skin!

Why My Face Looks Dull and Tired

There are a host of reasons a person’s face loses its glow, looking dull and tired. Some come from within, while others strike from the outside. Here are the most common reasons:

  • Dryness – both dehydration on the inside and a dry surface can strip you of your glow.
  • Smoking – this is a top environmental contributor to premature skin aging, amongst a host of other ills (1).
  • Dead Skin Cells – their buildup can cause your skin to look dull and patchy.
  • Stress – ups your cortisol levels, affecting blood flow to your skin and its ability to repair itself (2).
  • Aging – collagen levels in the skin decrease as we age, reducing elasticity and strength and increasing the propensity for wrinkles.

Try This Juice for Skin Glow

I’ve created this juice recipe to not only help you hydrate but also deliver key micronutrients that are shown to support skin health.

Vitamin C is an antioxidant that’s a critical factor in collagen synthesis; key for wrinkle reduction as well as skin strength and elasticity. It also contributes to skin protection and decreases damage from the sun (3).

This juice for skin glow is a tasty way to take great care of your beautiful face!

A medium mandarin orange provides 26% of the required daily intake of vitamin C (4), but did you know the equivalent amount of honeydew melon has the same (5)? Mind-blowing! So, this juice gives you a powerful dose of this skin-supporting micronutrient.

Ginger and turmeric contain an important phytochemical for skin health: gingerol and curcumin. Both are powerful antioxidants that remove free radicals and help reduce inflammation.

When applied together, have an even greater synergistic effect (6). They may work to eliminate puffiness and increase the skin’s natural luster.

It’s quiet, compact, and easy to both use and clean. The Shine fits easily on most countertops and is quite the powerhouse for its diminutive size. It handles a wide variety of produce without foaming, including the notoriously frothy pineapple. The pulp is dry, and the yield is good.

As a bonus, it makes for an excellent travel juicer. I take it in my carry-on whenever I travel, so I’ll never be without fresh juice on my adventures!

Description

The best morning drink for glowing skin is definitely fresh juice. This recipe is loaded with vitamins and minerals that will help you get your glow on!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 Mandarin Oranges
  • 1 Honeydew Melon
  • 3” Thumb of Turmeric Root
  • 3” Thumb of Ginger Root

Instructions

  1. Peel the mandarins.
  2. Peel and deseed (optional) the honeydew.
  3. Scrub clean the turmeric and ginger.
  4. Run all ingredients through your juicer and enjoy!

Notes

I like to leave melon seeds intact when juicing. That way, I get their added nutrition as well as a small amount of seed oil that adds a bit of creaminess to the finished juice.

You can use other types of oranges in this recipe, but I recommend either mandarins or tangerines if you can get them. They add a touch more sweetness to the juice and a fragrance that I just love!

Don’t worry about peeling your ginger or turmeric before juicing. The peel doesn’t affect the end product, so all you need to do is remove any stuck-on soil and drop them in!
