The Details: Amp Up the Antioxidants

Broccoli offers a host of health-protective antioxidants. It contains high levels of glucoraphanin, a compound that transforms itself into sulforaphane (a potent antioxidant) during digestion. What makes sulforaphane so valuable is that it is thought to offer a myriad of health benefits, from lowering cholesterol and blood sugar, while also reducing oxidative stress which is the trigger for many chronic diseases.

Cabbage is another health crusader of the vegetable world. It also contains sulforaphane, the amazing antioxidant described above, as well as the antioxidant kaempferol which has anti-inflammatory effects. Cabbage may also help heal and prevent stomach ulcers and benefit overall gut health. Add to that its potential anticancer and cholesterol-lowering properties.

Kale and parsley both pack a crazy amount of Vitamins K, A, and C. K is critical for blood clotting and bone health, while A and C are essential antioxidants that play a key role in a multitude of wellness-promoting and disease-preventing pathways.

Apples aren’t just here for their sweetness. They give this juice a good dose of polyphenols that may protect our cells from inflammation and oxidative damage, both of which are precursors to chronic health conditions including heart disease and cancer.

The Juicer: PURE Juicer

PURE Juicer makes amazing Cold Press green juices - it's the best in the juicing industry!

I made the Green Goodness on the PURE Juicer! This is absolutely the top cold press juicer on the market!

The PURE uses a two-stage process: grinding the produce to liberate the most juice possible and then pressing it using a 2.5-ton press. This process extracts the most amount of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and phytonutrients of any juicer available.

There are a few great juicers that I recommend in various price ranges, but the PURE Juicer is the best of the best. Best juice yield, enzyme, and nutrient extraction. Silky smooth, absolutely pulp-free juice. All stainless steel for a lifetime of durability!
