What’s In This Article?

Lactose-Free Almond Milk FTW!!!
One of the primary benefits of all plant-based milk is that they contain no lactose (a specific type of sugar found in animal-based milk). This lactose-free almond milk is no different! This sugar found in animal milk is problematic for millions of people.
Over 70% of adults are lactose intolerant to some degree because they stop producing sufficient quantities of the enzyme lactase as they leave infancy, which is needed to digest animal milk and milk products.
This leads to the tell-tale signs of lactose intolerance (1):
- Gas
- Bloating
- Stomach pain
- Diarrhea or constipation
- Vomiting in extreme cases.
Needless to say, keeping moo milk out of your body is an easy way to keep it happy.
Additional Benefits of Almond Milk
Almond milk brings additional benefits besides great taste and a happy digestive system. It contains a good amount of magnesium, a mineral vital to many key processes in the body. It’s key to proper nerve and muscle function, energy production, blood sugar and pressure control, as well as bone, DNA, and protein synthesis (2).

Low magnesium levels don’t cause immediate symptoms. Rather it can increase the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and high blood pressure.
This tasty nut milk is also a good source of vitamin E, an antioxidant that may help lower your risk of cognitive diseases (like Alzheimer’s) and cancer while protecting your immune system and blood vessels.
