Still buying almond milk at the store?!? Time to stop and make your own! Most commercial almond milk is pasteurized and full of mystery ingredients, additives, preservatives, and stabilizers. Skip the store shelves and try my almond milk recipe with dates. It tastes great, inexpensive, and simple to make. Enjoy!

Juicer Test Kitchen Insider Tip: You can take this recipe to the next level by adding strawberries, raspberries, a vanilla bean, or anything else to give it a different flavor. If you want it more or less sweet, simply alter the number of dates you use. Make it your own!
The Details: Get Nutty!
One of the primary benefits of plant-based milk, like almond milk, is that it’s lactose-free. This sugar found in animal milk is problematic for millions of people. Over 70% of adults are lactose intolerant to some degree because they stop producing sufficient quantities of the enzyme lactase, which is needed to digest milk and milk products. This leads to the tell-tale signs of lactose intolerance: gas, bloating, stomach pain, diarrhea or constipation, and vomiting in extreme cases. Needless to say, keeping moo milk out of your body is an easy way to keep it happy.
Almond milk brings additional benefits besides great taste and a happy digestive system. It contains a good amount of magnesium, a mineral vital to many key processes in the body. It’s key to proper nerve and muscle function, energy production, blood sugar and pressure control, as well as bone, DNA, and protein synthesis. Low magnesium levels don’t cause immediate symptoms. Rather it can increase the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and high blood pressure.
This tasty nut milk is also a good source of vitamin E, an antioxidant that may help lower your risk of cognitive diseases (like Alzheimer’s) and cancer while protecting your immune system and blood vessels.

The Juicer: REVO830

I made the Mooless Milk using the Kuvings REVO830 juicer. This machine handles so much so well!
The Kuvings REVO830 combines the benefits of a vertical and horizontal cold press juicer all in one machine. It can do this thanks to its unique dual-feed produce hopper. One side has a vertical cut chute that handles long produce like cucumbers, carrots, chard, and celery without a single cut!
The other side boasts a 3.5″ wide auto-cut hopper that lets you drop in whole, bulky produce like apples, beets, and oranges without chopping. This revolutionary design saves you TONS of time while giving you good yields and nutrient extraction. Fast, tasty, and health-filled. What a combo!
The Kuvings REVO 830 boasts an incredible 15-year warranty to back up its upgraded motor that allows you to run non-stop up to 45 minutes. It’s also really quiet. You already know it makes fantastic nut milk and incredible juice, but it also makes smoothies, sorbets, and nice cream. I highly recommend this machine for any home juicer, from newbies to veterans. It’s one of my regular go-to juicers!
