- 3 Dandelion Leaves
- 2 Kale Leaves
- 5 Sprigs Parsley
- 1/2 Lemon
- 2 Celery Stalks
- 1/4 Pineapple
- Rinse and pat dry the dandelion, kale, and parsley.
- Scrub the celery stalks.
- Wash off the lemon and cucumber (peel cuke only if it’s waxed).
- Decrown and peel (optional) the pineapple.
- Run all ingredients through your juicer and enjoy!!!
Regarding organic vs conventional produce, I do my best to buy as much quality organic as possible. There are some items I’m more strict about than others, like greens and celery. Both are highly treated in conventional agriculture, and studies have shown that residues from those chemicals remain.
The Environmental Working Group conducts tests every year to determine which produce items have the most of these residues, and in 2023 Kale/Mustard Green/Collard/Spinach were in the top 3. Celery was now 15 on the list.
