It’s estimated that over half of men aged 40-70, over 30 million total, suffer from erectile dysfunction. While there are a lot of variables at play, limited blood flow is one of the primary causes. Issues like hardened arteries, high blood pressure, and heart disease are all tied to this widespread condition. This juice recipe for erectile dysfunction works to combat limited blood flow using the triple threat of beets, watermelon, and celery!
The Juice: Gettin’ Hot In Here
Makes 42 fl oz
1/2 Small Watermelon (6 Cups)
2 Large Beets
5 Stalks Celery
De-rind (optional) and cut up the watermelon.
Scrub and chop the beets.
Scrub and chop the celery.
Peel the lemon (optional).
Run all ingredients through your juicer and enjoy!
The Details: Get Up, Get On Up!
Beet juice is high in nitrates which the body converts to nitric oxide, a compound known to open up blood vessels by acting as a vasodilator in the corpus cavernosum (the blood vessel-rich tissue responsible for maintaining an erection).
Watermelon may help combat ED through its high amount of L-citrulline. This nonessential amino acid also promotes blood vessel dilation via the nitric oxide system, resulting in decreased blood pressure and improved blood flow.
Celery juice, too, has naturally occurring nitrates that can promote heart health and help lower blood pressure. Also present is apigenin, a flavonoid and protein inhibitor thought to boost testosterone production in the testes.

The Juicer: Nama J2 Juicer
I made the Gettin’ Hot In Here on the Nama J2! I use this juicer nearly every day, and I’ll tell you why.
It’s the perfect combination of speed, yield, and ease. While it doesn’t rank at the top of the yield list, the Pure Juicer rings that bell, it does make up for it in speed. Thanks to its large hopper, you need to do very little prep work on your produce. If it fits, you can juice it!
It also has a limited number of parts that are engineered to be easy to clean. So from start to finish, this juicer is the favorite of many a home juicer and it’s definitely one of mine!
