Which Fruit Juice is Good for Eyes?
There are lots of juices out there that are great for your health, but which fruit juice is good for the eyes? This simple 2-ingredient recipe brings three key nutrients to help with eye health.
Pumpkin contains a wealth of eye-benefitting compounds (1). Vitamin A protects the cornea, improves low-light vision, and slows the progression of age-related macular degeneration (AMA) (2).

Zinc in pumpkin acts as a catalyst for Vitamin A to make its way from the liver to the retina, forming melanin (3) – a pigment that protects the eye from the damaging effects of sunlight, acting as a natural sunscreen.

Both pumpkin and pineapple contain Vitamin C, which also slows the progression of age-related macular degeneration and reduces the risk of cataract development (4). It may also lessen tension within the vitreous humor, thereby helping prevent retinal detachment. Studies suggest bromelain in pineapple may also help reduce the occurrence of eye floaters (5).
Can You Juice a Pumpkin?

I made the Clear Lines using the Kuvings REVO830 juicer, which absolutely answers the question if you can juice a pumpkin. This amazing machine definitely juices pumpkins and so much more!
- Minimal Chopping
- Dual-Feed Produce Hopper
- Makes Smoothies, Nice Cream, and Nut Milk
- Super Quiet Operation
- Ability to Run Non-Stop for 45 Minutes
- 15-Year Warranty
- Can Clog on Pineapple and Soft Fruits
- Doesn't Fit Under Some Cabinets
- Requires Consistent Feeding
The Kuvings REVO830 combines the technology of a vertical and horizontal cold press juicer all in one machine thanks to a unique dual-feed produce hopper. On one side is a vertical cut chute that handles long produce like cucumbers, carrots, chard, and celery without a single cut. On the other is a 3.5″ wide auto-cut hopper that lets you drop in whole, bulky produce like apples, beets, and oranges without chopping.
This revolutionary design saves you TONS of time while giving you good yields and nutrient extraction. Not only does the REVO830 create great juice, it also makes fabulous nut milk, smoothies, sorbets, and nice cream. As a bonus, it’s a super quiet machine.
This versatile juicer has an upgraded motor that allows you to run non-stop up to 45 minutes, with the whole thing being protected by an astounding 15-year warranty. I highly recommend this machine for any home juicer, from newbies to veterans. It’s one that I use regularly!

- Total Time: 10 minutes
- Yield: 32 fl oz 1x
Description
Looking to improve your vision? Try juicing for better eyesight as an easy, tasty way to support eye health.
Ingredients
- 2 c Pumpkin
- 1 Pineapple
Instructions
- Remove the stem and chop the pumpkin (peeling and deseeding is optional).
- Remove the crown and chop the pineapple (peeling is optional).
- Run the ingredients through your juicer and enjoy!
Notes
You’ll note that I say peeling and deseeding of these fruits are optional. That’s because juicing both can impart additional health-supporting compounds found in them both. So, sometimes I peel them but other times I don’t.
I’ve also found the skins and seeds of the pumpkin and the skin of the pineapple doesn’t negatively impact the flavor of the final juice, so there’s no real reason to peel them. Experiment for yourself to see what you enjoy best, and Stay Juicy!
