The Juice: Fog Horn

Makes 32 fl oz

Juicing for brain fog is super simple with this 2-ingredient recipe!

9 Mandarin Oranges

1 Uber-Ripe Pineapple

Peel the mandarin oranges (optional).

Remove the crown of the pineapple and chop (if needed).

Run the ingredients through your juicer and enjoy!!!

The Details: Clear the Haze!

One of the top causes of brain fog is dehydration. Why? Your brain is roughly 75% water, therefore, is highly susceptible to fluctuations in hydration. For instance, as little as a 2% reduction causes a noticeable reduction in cognitive function, attention span, decision-making ability, and short-term memory.

Drinking plain water is good, but consuming fresh juice brings with it numerous compounds that can counteract brain fog more effectively. Vitamin C, found in abundance in both oranges and pineapple, has been shown to improve cognitive function through its role in the formation of neural myelin sheath (which protects the nerve cell and is responsible for the speed of signal transmission) as well as the maturation of neurons in the brain.

The enzyme bromelain found in pineapples increases blood flow to the brain, improving alertness through increased oxygen levels. Studies also indicate it has a protective effect on the brain through its ability to destabilize the plaque buildup in the brains of Alzheimer patients.
