Keeping your lymphatic system flowing is key to a healthy immune system by maintaining tissue fluid balance and protecting us from infection. Some call it the body’s sewer system. Given that comparison, you can imagine what happens when it doesn’t drain properly…yuck. Juicing for lymphatic system drainage is one way to help keep things flowing, allowing your body to be happy and healthy.

The Juice: Coco Locomotive

Makes 32 fl oz

Juicing for lymphatic system drainage is easy with this tasty juice recipe!

Ingredients

6 c Black Grapes

1 Lemon

1 Fresh Thai Coconut (water only)

Directions

Rinse and destem the grapes.

Peel the lemon (optional).

Run grapes and lemon through your juicer and set aside the juice.

Drain and strain the fresh coconut water.

Mix juice and coconut water, pour yourself a glass, and enjoy!!!

Juicer Test Kitchen Insider Tip: Cracking coconuts can be tricky. I use this specialized tool to make the task both safer and easier. Also, don’t forget to scrape out the soft coconut meat inside! It’s tasty and nutritious. Just use a spoon to scrape it out and enjoy!

The Details: Let It Drain, Let It Drain!

The lymphatic system is the highway, or drainage pipes, that transports both excess metabolic fluid away from tissues and delivers immune-active cells to areas that are damaged or diseased. Studies suggest that the consumption of grape juice supports the circulation of T cells, which are responsible for directing the elimination of infected cells, activating additional immune cells, and regulating the immune system.

Keeping your body hydrated is another key component to promoting lymphatic system drainage; there’s nothing as good for that as fresh coconut water. Its concentration of electrolytes, like potassium and magnesium, is thought to provide heightened hydration levels. Adding the solvent power of fresh lemon juice rounds out this lymphatic draining juice.

The Juicer: Kuvings REVO830

The Kuvings REVO830 juicer is a great machine for any home juicer: easy to use, gives good yield, and is both quiet and quick.

I made the Coco Locomotive using the Kuvings REVO830 juicer. It’s a great juicer that does so much more!

The Kuvings REVO830 takes juicing to a whole new level with its unique dual-feed produce hopper. The vertical cut chute handles long produce whole, like cucumbers, carrots, chard, and celery. While the 3.5″ wide auto-cut hopper takes bulky produce like apples, beets, and oranges without chopping. This innovation saves tons of prep time!

The REVO830 is super quiet thanks to the upgraded motor, which allows you to run this machine non-stop for up to 45 minutes. Not only does this machine make great juice, but it also creates awesome nut milk, smoothies, sorbets, and nice cream.

All this goodness is backed by an astounding 15-year warranty. I recommend this machine for any home juicer. It’s one I regularly use on my own juice feasting journey!
