What is a Hands-Free Juicer?

The Kuvings’ main selling point for the AUTO10 Juicer is that it allows for hands-free juicing. That sounds great, but what does that actually mean? For this Kuvings juicer machine, the secret is in two parts:

Produce Batching Hopper

Hands-free juicing for the AUTO10 means there’s a batching hopper that you load up with produce, shut the lid, and let it go. You don’t have to stand there and feed it constantly like you do for most other juicers. This saves a lot of time by allowing you to get more produce ready, clean up your prep area, get your storage jars ready, etc. It’s a great feature that occasional and daily juicers alike will value highly.

What sets the AUTO10 apart from other hands-free juicers is the size of the hopper itself. It boasts the largest one in the market to date, a whopping 3 liters! This increased capacity over its competitors allows you to juice an entire recipe all at once rather than requiring multiple loads.

Auto-Cutting Mechanism

While its huge produce batching hopper allows you to load your entire juice recipe at once, the built-in auto-cutting mechanism allows you to walk away while it juices.

What I Don’t Like About the Kuvings AUTO10

While there’s a lot to love about the Kuvings AUTO10, there are a few things I don’t like:

• Heavier Than the Competition

The AUTO10 is similar in shape to the Nama J2 and other large hopper juicers but weighs in at nearly 4 pounds heavier. It’s not a deal-breaker, but makes the machine more difficult to move around.

• Too Tall to Fit Under Kitchen Cabinets

The fully assembled AUTO10 is too tall to sit on the countertop under typically placed kitchen cabinets. If you have a spot on your counter that doesn’t have overhead cabinets, great, but if you do, this juicer won’t fit.

• Citrus Attachment Sold Separately

This machine already includes two additional screens for making smoothies, nut milk, nice cream, and sorbet. It would also be great if they included the citrus attachment, but at least it is available for an additional cost.

Is the Kuvings AUTO10 a Good Juicer?

With the largest batching hopper in the industry, combined with Kuving’s auto-cutting technology, this is a hands-free juicer that lives up to the hype. I’ve tested it with the most hard, fibrous roots, fruits, and vegetables, and it’s handled them all like a champ. No bogging now and no clogging. In my eyes, the Kuvings AUTO10 is, indeed, a good juicer and one worth the investment.
