Here you are, at the point where things have gone too far: None of your clothes fit, you’re short of breath, and perhaps you’ve developed concerning health symptoms or been diagnosed with an actual health condition. Whatever it is, you’ve hit the breaking point and know it’s time to take action. At this point, most of us want to know how to lose weight quickly without exercise – a feat that sounds insurmountable, but it’s actually easier than you think.

Know You’re Not Alone

Mostly, weight gain happens over a long period of time. Slowly the pounds creep on so slowly that most of us don’t even realize it’s happening. Some of us have chosen to ignore it completely to avoid feeling restricted, thinking that’s the path we’re doomed to take in order to reverse the issue.

The first key to your success is to realize that you’re not alone. This has happened to countless others at some point in their life. A number of common factors in our lives contribute:

  • Age
  • Busy Careers
  • Family Demands
  • Standard American Diet
  • Sedentary Lifestyle
  • Over Consumption

Regardless of the factors in your situation, I’m going to show you how you can get back to your slimmer self while simultaneously propelling your health to new heights…and do it without exercise!

Be Kind To Yourself

It takes years for a body to become overweight and slide into poor health. Don’t expect it to change overnight. It will take a while, so be gentle and be patient. The more at peace you are with the time it takes the easier the journey will be.

How long will it take? That’s the million-dollar question. Truthfully, there’s no definitive answer since it depends on a myriad of factors:

  • Age
  • Fitness Level
  • Health Conditions
  • Eating Habits
  • Physical Impairments
  • Beliefs Around Your Body
  • Your Mindset
  • Level of Stress, Both Emotional and Physical

These are just a few things that affect how quickly you can expect to regain optimal weight and health. Realize this is a lifelong journey centered around health, not just the extra pounds around your middle. For a little inspiration, learn about my personal story to see how long it took me.

Stop Being Overfed & Undernourished

The primary problem that ultimately causes us to be overweight is two-fold: We’re overfed and undernourished. In our modern world, we are constantly being fed. Societal norms spout all sorts of “truisms” around food; things like “breakfast is the most important meal of the day “, “clean up your plate”, or “don’t start eating until after Noon”. Whatever the advice, you’re likely eating more than enough.

In addition to being overfed, we’re undernourished. The foods that we typically eat in the modern, western world are anything but nutritious. The Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) is made up of food that is highly processed, saturated with fat, overfocused on protein, inundated with artificial ingredients and preservatives, and chocked full of animal products. With animal products being linked to cancer, it’s even more important to remove them from your diet. Here is a link to one scientific study outlining the cancer risks associated with eating animal products.

That same S.A.D. diet is also notoriously low in vital vitamins and minerals needed for us to feel satiated, and ultimately for our bodies to function optimally. It’s no wonder that our bodies gain weight! We wind up eating too much of the wrong things in an attempt to satiate ourselves with foods that don’t have the nutrition we need.

The end result is that we’re backed up, literally and figuratively, with decades of too much of the wrong foods. We need to give our systems a break to clean themselves out while gifting ourselves with the right kind of food.

Employ The Magic Formula

You might be thinking that all of this information is leading up to the general recommendation of restricting calories to lose weight. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Let’s just lay this out on the line and tell you the simple answer to losing weight without exercise AND without restricting calories is:

A JUICE FEAST = A solid food vacation followed up with primarily, if not exclusively, raw living foods!

How do I know that it works? Because it works for me! On my first juice feast, I lost 26.5 lbs in 30 days with virtually no exercise, all while running a full-time manufacturing company that required intense manual labor. My results were more rapid than some, and slower than others, due to a combination of those factors I listed earlier. Everyone’s juice feast journey is unique to them.

What’s A Juice Feast?

A juice feast is the opposite of a juice fast. Instead of the restriction that normally comes with juice fasting, juice feasting is the exact opposite. A juice feast is a juice cleansing process where you consume nothing but fresh, raw living juices for a period of time. This time can vary depending upon the goal of the juice faster.

Key to a successful juice feast is the number of calories you consume. Instead of limiting them, as you would in a fast, during a juice feast you consume the same amount of calories from juice that you would normally from solid foods. The purpose is NOT to put yourself on a starvation diet, but rather to support a healthy caloric intake while allowing your system to take a break from the rigors of digesting solid foods. This break allows your body to heal while letting go of excess pounds.

Therefore, if a healthy caloric intake for your body is 2500 calories, you will consume 2500 calories solely from juice while on a juice feast. Instead of 3-4, 16oz servings of juice found in typical juice fast / cleanse protocols, during a juice feast you will consume 4-7 liters or quarts of juice!

What Are The Benefits Of A Juice Feast?

There are many benefits of a juice feast! Here are few:

  • Allow your digestive system to get a break.
  • Empty out your digestive tract.
  • Remove old, stagnate waste material that has been impacted in your digestive tract.
  • Change the pH of the body from primarily acidic and disease-forming to alkaline and health-giving.
  • Reduce energy needed from digestion and focus that energy on cleansing, healing and regenerating your body.
  • Deliver super concentrated, easily absorbable nutrition to your body.
  • Take your body from a chronic state of dehydration to a superb level of hydration.
  • Create conditions suitable for your lymphatic system to begin eliminating wastes from your body.
  • Set up optimal conditions for your organs of elimination to begin efficiently detoxifying your body.
  • Eliminate parasites.
  • Carry on with life’s rigorous schedule because you are not restricting calories, all while cleansing, healing and regenerating your body!
  • Achieve optimal weight. AKA lose weight!
  • Allow weight loss without strenuous exercise, restriction of calories or the need to take time off from work – life responsibilities.

I often talk about weight loss not being the main goal of a juice feast, but that it’s a pleasant side effect!

How Do I Do A Juice Feast?

My basic guideline for a juice feast is the following:

  • Drink 4-7 liters of juice per day.
    • Of the 4-7 liters, 1-2 liters will consist of green juices.
    • The remaining 3-5 liters will consist of mono fruit juices i.e. melon, grape, citrus, apple, carrot, apple, etc.
  • Drink 1/2 to 1 gallon combined of distilled/filtered water and herbal tea per day.
  • Do not restrict calories.
    • 2000 – 2500 for women (more or less depending on activity levels)
    • 2500 – 3000 calories for men (more or less depending on activity levels)

These are the basic guidelines. There are many more tips and recommendations to succeed for sure! How Much Weight Will I Lose?

Here again, this is based on many factors. On average, and if carried out correctly, a juice feaster will average between 0.5 lbs and 1 lb per day weight loss. This can be more or can be less depending on your individual situation.

Is A Juice Feast Right For Me?

YES! A juice feast is ideal for anyone who wants to effortlessly lose weight while simultaneously staying energized to a level where you can still crush the rigors of a normal life.

As with any new lifestyle change, it is best to check with the healthcare practitioner of your choice to confirm that it will be suitable for your individual health situation.

Ok! It’s time to dig in! Are you ready to start a juice feast?

Let me know in the comments if you would like to start one or if you have ever done one in the past! I’d love to hear your story! Stay juicy!!!

    • Hello! I appreciate your assessment of risk. However, I do take your advice with some reservation as I see that you have a wine, beer and spirits guide as part of the “Healthy Eating 101” section of your website.
Consuming intoxicants really don’t fit with a long-term, sustainable, health success model in my opinion.
Thanks so much for investigating my strategy though!
