What happened?

We’ve all been there. We get to that point where we know we’ve let things go too far. None of our clothes fit. We get a little short of breath while taking the stairs or just working around the house. Or worse, we have developed some health symptoms that concern us. Perhaps we’ve even been diagnosed with a severe health condition. Whatever it is, when we get to a certain breaking point we know it’s time to take action. At this point, a lot of people want to know how to lose weight quickly without exercise. A feat that may sound insurmountable, but really it’s a cinch!

Mostly, weight gain happens over a long period of time. Slowly the pounds creep on. At a rate that most of the time we don’t even realize it’s happening. Or we have chosen to ignore it just to avoid any restrictions that we think might have to happen to reverse the issue.

Don’t feel bad! This can happen to everyone and usually it has happened to everyone at some point in their life. A number of factors can contribute to this:

  • Age
  • Busy Careers
  • Family Demands
  • Standard American Diet
  • Sedentary Lifestyle
  • Over Consumption

Have no fear! In this article, we’re going to show you how you can get back into the clothes that no longer fit as well simultaneously propel your health to new levels. And do it without exercise!

Be Kind To Yourself

Since it has taken years for us to end up overweight and in poor health. We can’t expect that this will change overnight. As it has taken a long time to pack on the extra pounds, it will take a while, in most cases, to get back to your goal weight. Be gentle and be patient. The more at peace you are with the time it will take to get back to your goal weight or health, the easier it will be!

How Long Will It Take?

This is the question everyone asks. There is no definitive answer. It really depends on many, many factors:

  • How old are you?
  • What is your fitness level? 
    • Are you sedentary?
    • Are you active?
  • Do you have any major health conditions?
    • Seemingly perfect health?
    • Do you have one or more diagnosed conditions?
  • What has your eating lifestyle been like?
    •  For how long? 
      • Have you been a fast food junkie? 
      • Whole foods, plant based?
  • What is your mindset? 
    • Do you have a happy, positive mindset?
    • Or are you more of a negative minded person?

As you can see there are many things to consider in terms of how quickly you will regain your optimal weight and health. The factors above will ultimatlely determine how long it will take you to lose the weight. You can read about my personal progression and story here to see how long it took me.

Let’s keep it simple though!

Overfed & Undernourished

In order to not overcomplicate this, there is one main problem that ultimatley makes us overweight. We are overfed and undernourished. From the moment we are born to present day, we are constantly being fed. We are told that “breakfast is the most important meal of the day”. Or “clean up your plate!”. Or maybe, “it’s best to eat 6 meals per day”. Whatever advice you have been given, more than likely you haven’t skipped too many meals, if any at all.

Overfed & Undernourished

Also, the foods that we are typically fed in the modern, western world are anything but nutritious. The Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) is usually laden with animal products. With animal products being linked to cancer, it’s even more important to remove them from your diet. Also, the western diet tends to be heavy in overly processed foods that are super high in fats, protein and sodium not to mention artificial ingredients, preservatives, etc.

It’s no wonder that our bodies gain weight, we are fed too much of the wrong things!

The bottom line is that we never give our systems a break to cleanse themselves.

So, What’s The Magic Formula?

You might be thinking that all of this information is leading up to the general recommendation of restricting calories to lose weight. This couldn’t be further from the truth. Let’s just lay this out on the line and tell you the simple answer to losing weight without exercise AND without restricting calories: It’s a juice feast / solid food vacation! Followed up with primarily, if not exclusively, raw living foods!

What’s A Juice Feast?

A juice feast is the opposite of a juice fast. Instead of the restriction that normally comes with juice fasting, a juice feast is the exact opposite. A juice feast is a juice cleansing process whereby you consume nothing but fresh, raw living juices for a period of time. This time can vary depending upon the goal of the the juice feaster! Instead of limiting the amount of calories like in a juice fast, during a juice feast, you consume the same amount of calories from juice that you would normally consume from solid foods. So if you normally consume 2500 calories, you will consume 2500 calories from juice while on a juice feast!

Instead of 3-4, 16oz servings of juice found in typical juice fast / cleanse protocols, during a juice feast, you will consume 4-7 liters (32 oz each or quarts) of juice!

What Are The Benefits Of A Juice Feast?

There are many benefits of a juice feast! Here are few:

  • Allow your digestive system to get a break.
  • Empty out your digestive tract.
  • Remove old, stagnate waste material that has been impacted in your digestive tract.
  • Change the pH of the body from primarily acidic and disease forming to alkaline and health giving.
  • Reduce energy needed from digestion and focus that energy on cleansing, healing and regenerating your body.
  • Deliver super concentrated, easily absorbable nutrition to your body.

How Do I Do A Juice Feast?

My basic guideline of a juice feast / solid food vacation is the following:

  • Drink 4-7 liters of juice per day.
    • Of the 4-7 liters, 1-2 liters will consist of green juices.
    • The remaining 3-5 liters will consist of mono fruit juices i.e. melon, grape, citrus, apple, carrot, apple, etc.
  • Drink 1/2 to 1 gallon combined of distilled / filtered water / herbal tea per day.
  • Do not restrict calories.
    • 2000 – 2500 for women (more or less depending on activity levels)
    • 2500 – 3000 calories for men (more or less depending on activity levels)

How Much Weight Will I Lose?

Here again, this is based on many factors, but on average, if carried out correctly, juice feaster’s will average between 0.5 lbs and 1 lb per day weight loss. This can be more or can be less depending on your individual situation.
