Nama J2 Accessories Video Review

Nama J2 Large Hopper

Nama is known for its superior-performing J2, the juicer that’s revolutionized hands-free batch juicing! Since its release in 2021, others have hit the market with larger hoppers.

So, Nama has brought out this new hopper that DOUBLES the batch size of the original model, allowing you to make 36 ounces of juice with each batch.

There’s no need to buy a whole new juicer; just snag this J2-compatible accessory, and you’ll be making more juice even faster. It’s also compatible with the Nama C2.

Nama J2 Large Hopper Pros and Cons

Nama did an overall great job engineering this new large hopper. I’ll break down what I found during my testing:

Nama J2 Large Hopper still fits perfectly under standard kitchen cabinets.

PROS

  • Fits Under Cabinets – It’s the exact same height as the original hopper, so you can still slide it under standard kitchen cabinets over your countertop.
  • Less Effort – The larger hopper means you have to monitor it even less, allowing you more time to prep the next batch or clean up your work area.
  • Quick Clean-Up – Just like the original, the large hopper is designed for fast and easy clean-up.
  • Same Amount of Pulp – Per ounce, you’ll get the same amount of pulp in the juice as when using the original hopper. That means this large hopper is just as efficient as the smaller one.

CONS

  • Ingredients Cling to Sides – This isn’t a deal-breaker, but at the end of a batch cycle, you’ll want to scrape down any ingredients sticking to the walls to ensure everything gets juiced.
  • Slightly Wider Width – To keep the hopper the same height, Nama had to make the width a bit wider. It doesn’t stick out past the juice or pulp spouts, so really it’s a non-issue.

Nama J2 Citrus Attachment

Another accessory the Nama crowd has been asking for is a citrus attachment, so they delivered!

Nama J2 Citrus Attachment does a great job making delicious juice fast and easy!

This citrus attachment is super easy to use. Simply remove the regular hopper (the new large one or original) and pop on the attachment. Then all you need to do is cut your citrus in half then hold each on the reamer while it does the work for you.

This method is WAY faster than having to remove the rind off of your citrus when using one of the hoppers. I love that it comes with two different size reamers to accommodate a wide variety of citrus fruits. I juice A LOT of citrus, and this new citrus attachment makes it so much quicker and easier!

Nama Citrus Attachment Pros and Cons

Having a citrus attachment for the Nama J2 (and C2) is a real game changer for citrus juice lovers like me. Here’s what I think about it:

It's so fast and easy to make tasty citrus juice using the Nama J2 Citrus Attachment.

PROS

  • Easier & Quicker – There is no doubt that this reamer-based attachment makes citrus juicing so much faster and simpler than having to peel off the rind beforehand.
  • Dual Reamers – Having two different-sized reamers to choose from ensures you get every last drop out of each piece of citrus.
  • Less Pulp – The built-in stainless steel strainer results in less pulp, which I like. You get the same amount of juice, but this method gives you a smoother result.
  • Easy to Clean – The simple design makes for fast and easy clean-up.

CONS

  • Not Hands-Free – The nature of a reamer-style citrus juicer requires you to handle each piece, which means you can’t load it and walk away like the two hopper options. Overall, you’ll save time using this citrus attachment over the hoppers.

Nama J2 Large Pitcher Set

Many batch juicers like me prefer low-pulp juice. To accomplish this, we wind up pouring our fresh juice through a fine mesh strainer into a larger mixing container before drinking or storing.

Nama J2 Large Pitcher Set

Nama noticed this trend with many of their customers and wanted to create a solution that removed that extra step. So, they created their Large Pitcher Set. Not only does this ergonomically designed pitcher come with a perfectly sized mesh screen to keep the pulp out, but it’s three times the size (3 versus 1 liter), allowing easier mixing to give you a uniform juice.

Nama Large Pitcher Set Pros and Cons

The Nama Large Pitcher Set is a nice addition to any of the Nama juicers. It’s well-designed and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Here’s what I found out while testing it:

Nama J2 Large Pitcher Set has a built in pulp screen.

PROS

  • Built-In Pulp Strainer – This is a huge pro! I love how easy it is now to strain the pulp out of my juice.
  • Nesting Storage – Pulp pitcher, strainer and lid all nest inside the large pitcher for easy storage.
  • Dripless Pour Spout – The pour spout on the juice pitcher is great! I don’t have any issues with dripping or juice trailing down the sides.
  • Silicone Sealed Lid – This thoughtful addition gives you airtight storage using the native juice pitcher without having to transfer it to other containers.
  • Integrated Scraper – Another great bit of engineering is the pulp mesh scraper that snaps into place on the lid when not in use.

CONS

  • Mesh Too Porous – While the pulp screen does a good job easily removing pulp, I prefer a finer mesh to strain my juice.

Nama J2 Glass Bottles

Always looking to improve customer experience from beginning to end, Nama has created its own Glass Bottles: a single On The Go Glass Bottle and a Glass Bottle Set of four.

Nama on the Go Glass Bottle and Glass Bottle set.

These bottles are designed for you to take juice on the go. They come in two sizes: 24 and 17 ounces, which are perfect juice serving sizes. Both are glass, substantially constructed without being bulky or heavy, and fit perfectly into you vehicle cup holder! The 24 ounce version comes with a silocone bottom sleeve for extra durability.

Another great feature is the threading. You can use regular Ball jar lids or these leakproof lids that I swear by for worry-free storage and transportation. The lids also come with a removable silicon gasket for leak prevention that’s easy to clean.

Nama Glass Bottles Pros and Cons

Nama’s spirit of innovation shines through all the way to these new Glass Bottles. Here’s how they stack up:

Nama on the Go Glass jars and Glass jar set lids are interchangeable with Ball jar lids.

PROS

  • Glass Construction – I store and drink all my juice out of glass. Glass is non-reactive and non-porous, meaning the acidic or alkalinik nature of any juice will not interact with the glass (as it will with other materials) and its much easier to keep clean.
  • Fit In Cup Holders – This is a nice feature for when you’re on the go.
  • Protective Silicone Sleeve – This feature is great, but only on the On The Go Glass Bottle.
  • Interchangeable Lids – The threading allows you to use Ball jar lids, which I recommend using for storage and transport.

CONS

  • No Sleeves on Smaller Size – For some reason, the small jars don’t come with silicone sleeves, which would be a nice addition.
  • Closed Lid Only – These jars don’t come with either a straw hole or flip sip option, making on-the-go drinking through the wide-mouth opening a little more precarious.

Are the Nama J2 Accessories Worth the Price?

As with all Nama products, these new accessories do not disappoint! My absolute must-haves are the Large Hopper and Citrus Attachment. Both definitely give you excellent performance for the money.

The Large Pitcher Set is also a good addition, supporting the larger batch sizes possible using the citrus attachment and large hopper.

Lastly are the Glass Bottles. Both the On The Go Travel Bottle and Glass Bottle Set are nice-to-haves, especially for those who like drinking their juice on the go, thanks to their ability to fit in car cup holders.

I recommend snagging any of these accessories. Decide which best meets your needs and add them to your juicing toolbox!

Do you have any of these Nama Accessories? Do you plan on purchasing one or more? Any questions about them? Let us know in the comments!
