The Juice: Put Out the Fire
Makes 40 fl oz
️4 Blood Oranges
Peel and slice or chop the pineapple.
Peel the blood oranges.
Scrub clean the turmeric and ginger.
Run all ingredients through your juicer and enjoy!

The mighty pineapple is an antioxidant powerhouse, including vitamin C, manganese, flavonoids, and phenolic compounds. Antioxidants work to prevent inflammation and protect our tissues by counteracting the oxidative stresses in the body that contribute to disease. Ginger and turmeric contain the phytochemicals gingerol and curcumin, respectively, which are both powerful antioxidants. Blood oranges contain the cancer-fighting antioxidant chrysanthemin (the compound responsible for this particular orange’s intense color. Caffeic, ferulic, and coumaric acids are also present, all of which have been shown to have anti-cancer effects in lab testing.
